The Duchess of Cornwall has been announced as patron of The Poppy Factory, which is known for making the iconic poppy for Remembrance Day and has also in recent years become an employability charity for disabled veterans.

The Duchess toured the Richmond factory last week, and Chief Executive Melanie Waters said she hoped The Duchess would 'highlight the increasing need to support our disabled veterans into meaningful civilian employment'.
